Evy De Batselier - Lawyer
A working environment where interesting and edifying work with respect to content goes hand in hand with a socially relevant job. I have found this unique combination at the Bank's Legal Department.
After jobs as a university assistant, a lawyer at the bar and a corporate lawyer in the financial sector, I was looking for a working environment where interesting and edifying work with respect to content goes hand in hand with a socially relevant job. I have found this unique combination at the prudential law unit of the Bank's Legal Service. Since I joined the Bank about 2 and a half years ago, I have been allowed to work on some very interesting and diverse dossiers, ranging from giving legal/technical advice to the Bank's operational services, following up parliamentary proceedings, working on draft Belgian legislation, to negotiating with the European Commission on rules and regulations. I have a wide range of duties that allow me to perfect myself. In addition, the work climate in our Service is very pleasant and not formal at all. And there are also a lot of young people working in our Service. Furthermore, the Bank offers a chance to establish a good work-life balance. To put it shortly, my job at the Bank is the perfect combination for me.
