The National Bank of Belgium (NBB) is recruiting a strategy and organisation analyst (junior) (F/M).

The NBB takes advantage of opportunities to improve the activities it pursues in the context of its many businesses. This involves the establishment and monitoring of strategic plans, and the examination of ways of optimising internal procedures.

In that context, the Strategy and Organisation department is in close contact with the Board and the heads of all NBB departments. It provides them with methods, instruments and means to establish and implement their strategy and to enhance the efficiency of the management and operational performance of their activities.

The department is also in charge of the budgets and internal financial reporting.


The strategy and organisation analyst:

  • takes part in devising the NBB’s strategy and establishing and monitoring the resulting strategic plans, and in measuring their effects and performance
  • is responsible for the analysis and optimisation of internal procedures
  • contributes to the financial reporting and always takes account of the financial analyses in his work of optimising procedures and strategic orientations.


  • hold a master’s degree in applied economics or equivalent
  • have professional experience related to the implementation and/of follow-up of strategic plans
  • display an interest in the financial monitoring of the activities of an enterprise with many missions of general interest
  • have sound analytical capabilities and the ability to focus on the overall picture
  • be able to present the results of his work clearly, both in writing and orally
  • be able to present an argument and have powers of persuasion
  • be comfortable and structured in relations with the management
  • demonstrate a good knowledge of French, Dutch and English
  • be able to work both independently and in a small team
  • display self-confidence, adaptability and good interpersonal skills.

Working conditions

  • June 2018: final selection interview.
